“Swagger Like Us” Rhyme

My swag is Obama with a little Jay-Z

mixed with my grandmamma from the West Indies

freeze, switch directions, please

my flow flip perceptions like twisted trees

Industry, don’t need ‘em  Really don’t believe ‘em

Never write for money see I only write for freedom

The game is barely breathing from the lying and the scheming

Hungry minds need feedin’  Give ‘em reasons to believe in

I’m a professional Scholar Intellectual

Why act cool when you could be presidential

Why act fool when you could be exceptional

Make your own rules never do what the rest’ll do

hip-hop my religion so this mic is my confessional

headphone stereo pews to get my message through

And I know I’m visionary

Teachers called me lazy   I remixed the dictionary

And while the whole wide world seems to settle for thugs

I’ma be a gentlemen   My philosophy is love

Soulfully lyrical    truthful and spiritual

every morning wake-up and remember I’m a miracle.
